Smartthings add smartapp1/29/2024 ![]() Step 3: Transfer the config.json file into the homebridge with this command: “scp config. You can check to see if the file is there by typing the command “ls” which will list out all the files in that directory. You may find it easy to just put it on the desktop, because then you can just type “cd ~/Desktop” and that should take you to your desktop. Step 2: Use the “cd” command to change the directory to where you keep the config.json file. Since the config file has already been updated in the previous step, all you have to do is transfer it over to the homebridge. Just keep trying with a steady finger press… easier said now that I have done it. Maybe throw in a force quit of the ST app and try again. Make sure your finger is not moving… press and hold in place. I encountered what you described when I first tried last night… kept getting the popup for About SmartThings so I assume I was not pressing correctly. Then scroll down to see developer mode at the bottom of that screen. The background color changes to a darker shade as you are pressing and about 5 seconds later the background changes to white and I release my finger from pressing.
